STRUCTURAL COMPUTATION PROTOCOL & USAGE TERMS

TERMS OF SERVICE

Standard operating agreement, structural engineering responsibilities, and computational licenses for SASA Engineers and CogniStruct Pvt. Ltd.

Last Revision: April 2026IS 456 & IS 1893 Codified100% User IP Custody

1. Acceptance of Terms & Scope of Protocol

Binding Agreement

By accessing, evaluating, or executing computational algorithms on SASA Engineers (https://sasa.engineer), a proprietary software suite developed by CogniStruct Pvt. Ltd. (https://cognistruct.in/), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you are using SASA on behalf of an engineering consultancy, architectural studio, academic institution, or construction enterprise, you represent and warrant that you possess the authority to bind that entity to this agreement.

2. Structural Engineering Disclaimer & Verification Requirement

Critical Mandate

SASA Engineers provides computational modeling, limit state calculation kernels, AI-RAG compliance synthesis, and preliminary architectural visualizers for professional decision support.

MANDATORY LICENSED REVIEW: All calculation outputs, rebar percentages, shear capacities, bending moment envelopes, and seismic base shear estimates MUST be reviewed, validated, and formally stamped by a qualified, licensed Registered Structural Engineer / Chartered Civil Engineer before physical construction or execution.

SASA outputs do not constitute a formal certificate of structural stability under municipal bylaws without independent professional verification.

3. Codified Standards & Limit State Mechanics

Bureau of Indian Standards

Calculations executed across our modules are mapped against public Indian Standards, specifically:

• IS 456 : 2000 — Plain and Reinforced Concrete (Limit State of Collapse and Serviceability)

• IS 1893 (Part 1) : 2016 — Criteria for Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures

• IS 875 (Parts 1–5) : 2015 — Design Loads for Buildings and Structures (Dead, Live, Wind, Snow, Special)

• IS 13920 : 2016 — Ductile Design and Detailing of Reinforced Concrete Structures Subjected to Seismic Forces

• IS 800 : 2007 — General Construction in Steel — Code of Practice

While our engines strive for mathematical precision, users are responsible for ensuring that the appropriate design codes and localized amendments apply to their specific geographic jurisdiction.

4. Non-Custodial Permitted Use & IP Ownership

Client Ownership

CogniStruct Pvt. Ltd. grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to utilize SASA tools for structural calculation, parametric modeling, research, and client deliverables.

USER IP: You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all frame geometries, calculation parameters, structural models, and generated reports.

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the proprietary IS-RAG weights or calculation kernels via automated scraping tools without prior written consent.

5. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

Liability Boundary

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, CogniStruct Pvt. Ltd., SASA Engineers, its founders, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from:

(a) Construction failures, material degradation, or site delays arising from unverified reliance on preliminary computational outputs;

(b) Incorrect user parameter inputs, faulty soil subgrade assumptions, or unmodeled environmental extremes;

(c) Service interruptions, browser WebGL crashes, or local data loss.

The user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CogniStruct Pvt. Ltd. against any claims or legal proceedings arising from their structural design deliverables.

6. Service Availability & Enterprise SLAs

99.9% Core SLA

SASA is engineered for high availability on modern edge networks. However, we do not warrant uninterrupted uptime for all public web endpoints during scheduled maintenance or upstream AI API outages.

Enterprise tier clients with custom SLAs receive guaranteed uptime guarantees, dedicated offline server deployments, and priority technical support.

7. Governing Law, Arbitration & Jurisdiction

Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of India.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts located in Hubballi, Karnataka / New Delhi, India.
